Subject:	Retracting Yesterday's Lead Story

It is with a significant amount of embarrassment and regret that I must
inform the ELP Digest readership that yesterday's story about an "official"
Keith Emerson home page was erroneous.

I have learned today that the person who sent me that mail was, in fact, NOT
AUTHORIZED to establish an "official" Emerson web site and that any web site
that may exist at the location is definitely NOT official information.
Likewise, the email address for Keith Emerson that was listed in yesterday's
ELP Digest is NOT Keith's email address.

I have now worked out an arrangement with Will Alexander (Keith's manager)
that I will screen all "official looking" Keith news through him. So, I can
promise that this will not happen again.  From now on, I will NOT pass along
any information as "official" unless it has passed through the proper
management channels of Keith, Greg, and/or Carl.

I am sorry that, in my haste to get a Digest published, I was mislead in
believing that I had official information when, in fact, I did not.

Sorry to get your hopes up.  Will has assured me that, if and when there is
an official Emerson web site, we'll be among the first to know.  Thank you
for your understanding.

     Web Site I maintain.  If any of you forwarded that information to
     others, please forward this along as well so everyone knows the truth.
